Merry Meet everyone,
I know it’s been a long while since I last posted to my blog, and I thought I would catch everyone up on what has been going on with my life over the past couple of years.
Shortly after my post in August 2012, my mother (75) crossed the veil and my world went into a tail spin. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor several months earlier in April 2012, and had surgery to remove it a month or so later. The surgery was successful and she was on the mend for a couple months, when suddenly…..
I have drove & flown back and forth to Missouri more times than I can remember to take care of family business.
In January 2013, just about the time things seemed to be getting under control, my father, 85, (10 years older than my mother) started having his own health issues, which spiraled down quickly. My father passed this past September 2013.
It’s been a very difficult couple of years, but once again, I am getting a grip, and re-grouping. It’s a New Year, started by a New Super Moon, and it’s time for New Beginnings.
With that said, I am moving forward on my album “Circle of Power” which has been in the works for years. 4 songs have already been released as digital singles, and there will be 5-6 more songs coming quickly to complete the CD and release it for Summer 2014.
There are also “OTHER” creative going-ons, so stay tuned to my website for those special “hints”.
Bast Blessings & Happy New Year 2014!
Merry Meet Rabid Pagans!
Today is my birthday and I’ve had a great one! There are literally HUNDREDS of posts on my Facebook from people wishing me a joyous day, and you all have made it one!
I am preparing to leave for the Phoenix Phyre gathering in Central Florida (Lakeland, FL) on Wednesday, and I will be there through Sunday. During the festival, I will be reading cards for people and also teaching one of my favorite workshops, “The Magickal Voice”. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the gathering.
Friday evening, April 8th, I will be debuting my new dance music along with some old favorites at my concert at Phoenix Phyre. The entertainment starts at 8:30pm with me hosting an open mic, followed by my concert.
If you can’t make it to the gathering for the full time, there are weekend passes available, as well as an evening pass from 6pm to 11pm for only $15. This includes my concert! So come out and see me!
For more information about Phoenix Phyre, please visit: http://www.phoenixfestivals.com
If you do plan on coming out to the concert, or if you just want to have some fun… check out the new line dance that my dear friend and covenmate, Ayanna, created for my birthday! It’s for my dance remake, “Cool to Be a Witch 2.0″!
I have posted the video right here on my website under Videos, or you can always go directly to my YouTube site at: http://www.youtube.com/lordalexian
Spring is here, and I’m ready to travel! I’ll be calling you all to set up concerts (and house concerts as well) all around Florida during the months of late April, May & June!
Then I’m already starting to plan a tour all the way up from Florida through the MID-WEST and back during July! So if you live in Northern FL, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Arkansas, or Missouri, etc please contact me! This is your chance to get me to come perform live for you and your friends!
I am also contemplating a tour UP the East Coast all the way North in October! What Witchy pleasures await me up there?
Don’t be shy! Contact me… I don’t bite…. too hard. (Unless you want me to!)
As I continue to record my new album, I am already looking ahead to start booking house concerts for myself across the USA. In fact, I’d like to start performing in the Florida area this summer to begin with! So I’m looking for individuals to host me at their home for a “House Concert”.
A House Concert is not a new phenomena, but the concept is taking off with renewed energy and vigor at this time due to the fact that the recording industry is breaking down, and the independent musician, like myself, is on the rise. The power shift has moved from the big conglomerate recording companies to the musicians themselves!
All Hail the Bards!
As part of my preparation in preparing to take my music on the road, I thought I’d begin the education process of what a House Concert is, and what it is not. Not surprisingly, someone has already done the work for me, in the form of a video presentation, so I am sharing those YouTube videos with you here now.
Here is a link to download a free .PDF Guide Booklet about hosting House Concerts. Download it for Free now! And contemplate hosting me someday soon!
Enjoy the videos, and if you are interested in hosting me and my music for you and your family and friends, please don’t hesitate to contact me DIRECTLY at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 407-278-1877.
